FORCE BARBELL COACHES

TYLER MILLER, MS, CSCS, USAW

Owner, Head Coach, Inspirer

You don’t get to pick the family that you are born into, but Tyler Miller hit the family jackpot.

He grew up with his family playing catch, kickball, and hacking at golf balls in the front yard, shooting hoops in the driveway, and dragging his parents around from one sporting event to another. Tyler eventually went on to a successful collegiate Track and Field career at Purdue University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Movement and Sports Science with a minor in Organizational Leadership and Supervision in 2008.

In 2009, Tyler returned to his alma mater as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. In that role, Tyler created and implemented strength and conditioning programs for a number of Purdue’s Varsity Sports until 2011 when he completed his Master’s Degree and moved into the private fitness industry.

As a young athlete, his father, who coached a number of his teams, taught Tyler the value of hard work and dedication. Although he has taken many lessons from his various mentors and coaches throughout the years, much of Tyler’s honest, encouraging, and playful coaching style was learned from his father at a young age.

Tyler’s parents also instilled in him a passion for helping others and demonstrated often how to love your neighbor and put others’ needs in front of your own. Although he rebelled against these lessons at times – as any young man does – the values he learned from his parents sank in and eventually became the cultural foundation for Force Barbell.

God, family, integrity, hard work, empathy, and accountability are the backbone of Force Barbell’s community culture, where all members strive for self-improvement and seek to lift each other to greater heights. This culture and community, together with Tyler’s uncommon combination of athletic background, coaching experience, and education, make Force Barbell a unique training facility in the sea of cookie cutter “box” gyms.

Tyler is proud to have a family owned, faith-based fitness company that positively affects the lives of it’s members; he is honored to work closely with the love of his life to educate and facilitate that positive change; and he is constantly inspired by his clients when they realize their potential.

JUSTIN FRAZIER, CSCS, USAW

Assistant  Strength & Conditioning Coach

Justin grew up playing sports through high school, which led him to study exercise science at Ball State University. Justin graduated with his Bachelors Degree after completing a Strength and Conditioning Internship at Force Barbell in May of 2015.

Shortly after graduation, Justin completed an internship with the Ball State Football Strength and Conditioning Staff where he worked with the Football and women’s Basketball programs. During this time, Justin was able to be involved on the sidelines of football games, which he calls “one of those dreams you have as a kid.” After this excellent learning experience, Justin came back to join the Force Barbell team in August 2015.

Justin has worked with a wide variety of athletes and clients. His coaching resume includes first round MLB draft picks, NCAA athletes, NFL and AFL Football players, and high school athletes from a variety of sports. He has also worked with Special Olympics athletes, youth athletes, and competitive strength athletes, such as national-level weightlifters and powerlifters.

Justin will always love coaching high-level elite athletes, but one of the things he is most proud of is getting average people from all walks of life to buy into strength training. He has seen first-hand the profound effects it has had on people, and in many ways getting people involved with strength training and the community at Force Barbell goes much farther than just the physical changes they see.

When he is not coaching, Justin enjoys all things fitness and motor development, including learning to handstand walk, completing muscle-ups, and mini-ball slam-dunk contests.  He also spends free time listening to podcasts and reading up on all things philosophy in relation to growing a more effective society. He is also a Weightlifter and Powerlifter committed to competing on the National stage.

Sean Dunaway, CSCS

Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Sean grew up playing a variety of sports, including football, basketball, and track and field. In high school, Sean played tennis at Fishers HS.

In the spring of 2017, Sean graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University.

During Sean’s time at Ball State, he was able to gain several experiences in the fitness industry. These experiences included CrossFit, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Personal Training, and Private Sector/High School Strength and Conditioning. After completing an internship with Force Barbell throughout the summer of 2016, Sean decided this was the route he wanted to go after graduation.

Sean’s clientele has spread from the weekend warrior, to high school/college/professional athletes, to Special Olympics athletes. He also has extensive experience around Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Strongmen competitors. Sean believes anyone has the ability to better themselves as long as they trust the process. He says the best part about coaching is pushing a client out of their comfort zone and watching them overcome the obstacles that are thrown at them. Sean’s forthright style of coaching helps clients achieve objectives they weren’t able to achieve before without proper guidance.

When Sean is not coaching, he enjoys Olympic Weightlifting, hiking, and weekend road trips.

Brittany Miller, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Brittany Miller graduated from Lewis Cass High School and embarked on her collegiate studies in the fall of 2007 at Indiana University.  Though it took her two years, she realized how foolish her choice of school was, and transferred to a much more ideal academic setting in 2009.  She graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in May 2013, and became a registered Dietitian soon after.

Brittany is passionate about helping others lead healthy, balanced lifestyles.  Though she is able to help people in all walks of life reach their health, fitness, and performance goals, she prefers to work with clients who are battling chronic health issues.

Brittany helps her clients by taking a holistic approach.  She focuses on clean nutrition, alternative remedies and important lifestyle factors that make a huge difference in long-term health and wellness.  She believes most diseases that plague our society can be prevented, managed and even reversed by adopting a whole foods, nutrient rich diet and balancing stress, sleep and fun.

Brittany’s athletic career included back-to-back appearances in the IHSAA State Softball Championships, and knocking in the winning run for the state champion Lewis Cass Kings Softball team in 2006.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with Tyler and their son, Ezekiel.
